A popular seasoning chili pepper from Peru. Very rare and hard to find outside of South America, it grows to about 60 cm tall, with fruits about 5 cm long. The fruits are a bright lemon-yellow when ripe. When cut open, they smell and taste like citrus, suitable for making fruit-flavored chili sauce, chili powder, and dried chilies. Its spiciness is about twice that of a bird's eye chili. Lemon Drops can be grown as a perennial. This is a beautiful plant that adds a bright touch to your small garden; an excellent choice for container gardening!
